‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood’ Star Masika Kalysha Slams Fetty Wap, Talks Co-Parenting With Rapper
Masika Kalysha and her baby daddy Fetty Wap still aren’t on the best of terms. The couple welcomed their first child together in March, but is still bumping heads when it comes to their baby girl Khari.
In a new interview, the “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star opened up about co-parenting with the “My Way” rapper hinting that he isn’t spending that much time with his four-month old daughter. “I’m an amazing mother,” Masika said during an appearance on “VH1 Live!” Monday. “I’m a pretty good father, too.” When asked to elaborate on if Fetty Wap is involved in their baby’s life, she responded: “I’m not here to bash him; I’m not here to talk down on him. He paints his own picture, I don’t need to. My job is to take care of my child, and that’s it.”
Masika and Fetty Wap, who both appear on Season 3 of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood,” often got into public spats while Masika was pregnant. Fetty Wap denied he had fathered a baby with the singer, but eventually apologized to her. “@masikakalysha everything may not b okay but I want what’s best for the baby so I apologize,” he wrote in February. Masika responded that she and baby Khari “accepted the apology.”
Even though Fetty Wap and Masika made amends, it’s clear the two are still struggling on how to make things work between them. On Tuesday, Masika told The Breakfast Club that it’s hard to define her relationship with the “679” rapper because it’s so up and down. “It depends on which way the wind blows,” she said, adding: “Here’s the thing, things got crazy. He did come back and try to make things right and I do commend him for what he did, however there are still more issues. So, my priority is my child. I don’t know what his priority is.”
