'Love & Hip-Hop' Star Rah Ali Loses Baby, Nicki Minaj Consoles Her

It's hard to find good friends. But, lucky for former "Love & Hip-Hop" star Rah Ali, she's got a friend in Nicki Minaj.

Ali was just five months pregnant when she gave birth to her baby girl over the weekend. TMZ reports that sources close to the VH1 star say, the baby, who was not due until mid-October, died "Sunday almost immediately after the premature birth." The media outlet added that the birth was a "complete shock" and "previous doctors visits revealed no signs of trouble with her pregnancy".

This certainly is a trying time for the "LHH" star and Minaj is doing what she can to help console her dear friend. The "Anaconda" rapper is offering her support by calling Ali, checking in and attempting to "lift her spirits" in the wake of this heartbreaking situation sources tell TMZ.

Ali and Minaj go way back. So far back that Ali apparently tried to fight rapper Cardi B after shoegate -- the incident between Minaj and Cardi B that involved a show being thrown during New York Fashion Week party last September.

Rah Ali was planning to announce her pregnancy in June after keeping it a secret and had even took photos in early May. This would have been the first child for Rah Ali and her husband.
