‘Love, Lights, Hanukkah!’ Hallmark Movie Premiere: Trailer, Synopsis, Cast
Hallmark Channel’s “Countdown to Christmas” event continues with a nod to the Jewish holiday of the season, with the premiere of “Love, Lights, Hanukkah!” The film stars Mia Kirshner, Ben Savage and Marilu Henner.
The film is sure to be a treat for Jewish fans of the network eager to see their holiday represented in their third overall film on the network, after 2019’s “Holiday Date” and “Double Holiday,” but also fans of the stars. While Henner might be recognizable to Hallmark fans for her role in the “Aurora Teagarden Mysteries” movies, Kirshner’s only prior role on Hallmark was in the film “Kiss at Pine Lake.” In recent years, she is best known for her role as Amanda Grayson on “Star Trek: Discovery,” and for her portrayal as Bethany Slade in Lifetime’s “The College Admissions Scandal” movie.
As for Savage, this is his first Hallmark movie, but fans certainly recognize him for the role that made him famous—Cory Matthews on both “Boy Meets World” and “Girl Meets World.”
So what will happen when these powerhouse names team up for their first project together? According to a synopsis, an unexpected discovery leads to so much more than just a new holiday to celebrate.
“As Christina (Kirshner) prepares her restaurant for its busiest time of year, Christmas, she gets the results from a DNA test revealing that she’s Jewish!” a synopsis reads. “The discovery leads her to a new family, new traditions and a new and an unlikely romance over eight nights.”
As that discovery brings her in the path of characters portrayed by Henner and Savage, Christina’s life will be changed forever.
“Love, Lights, Hanukkah!” premieres Saturday, Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
