‘Lucifer’ Season 2 Spoilers: What Solution Will Lucifer Find To Help Charlotte In Episode 18 Finale?

“Lucifer” Season 2, episode 18 is expected to end with Lucifer (Tom Ellis) making a tough decision on what he should do with his mom, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer).

In “The Good, the Bad and the Crispy,” Charlotte mistakenly hurts an innocent man, and this will encourage Lucifer to keep a huge secret from her. In episode 17, titled “Sympathy for the Goddess,” Lucifer and Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) discovered the missing piece that could ignite the flaming sword. Charlotte has been urging her sons to use the sword, but Lucifer is unsure whether or not telling her the truth will be the right thing to do.

To make things worse, Amenadiel and Charlotte eventually decide to run away. Lucifer, who doesn’t have any idea where they are, worries that Amenadiel will tell Charlotte the truth. He then asks Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) to take charge of finding his mom and brother. While Maze is busy tracking the two down, Lucifer will try to find a permanent solution for the ticking time bomb he calls his mom.

In the teaser released by FOX for the finale episode, Lucifer tells Charlotte that Amenadiel has the missing piece of the flaming sword. In another scene, Lucifer panics and tells Amenadiel that their mom’s powers are returning, and she’s out to hurt innocent people. One of the people she’s harmed is Dr. Linda Martin (Rachael Harris). Maze comes to the latter’s rescue and tells Lucifer that they need to do something because otherwise Dr. Linda could die.

Another scene shows Lucifer and Amenadiel telling Charlotte that she should try to control her powers. The latter was so upset that she ended up throwing her sons across the room. Charlotte also asks Amenadiel to give her the missing piece of the flaming sword, but he informs the former that she needs to kill him first.

By the looks of it, Charlotte will not kill one of her sons just so she could use the flaming sword. Instead, she and Lucifer will work together in figuring out how to control her powers.

“Lucifer” Season 2, episode 18 will air on FOX on Monday, May 29 at 9 p.m. EDT.
