‘Lucifer’
Lucifer (Tom Ellis) will reunite with his friends in the premiere episode of “Lucifer” Season 3 starting Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. EST. FOX

The official trailer for “Lucifer” Season 3 has just been released by FOX at the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 22.

In the almost three-minute clip, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) wakes up in the middle of the desert, with his entire body covered in wounds. He has also gotten his angel wings back. In the next scene, the lead character walks along the streets of Los Angeles with a huge smile on his face as though nothing happened. While looking at a man, Lucifer suddenly shows off his angel wings, surprising him.

By the looks of it, Lucifer will return to his old ways of partying, drinking and hooking up with women. Elsewhere, Chloe Decker (Lauren German) is figuring out a way to cope with Lucifer’s disappearance – again. She imitates Lucifer while playing the phone, and Dr. Linda (Rachael Harris) has her back. The therapist also survived from her near-death experience in Season 2.

Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Maze (D.B. Woodside) have plenty of screentime in the clip. The two engage in fights with two masked men. After Maze tries to attack a third guy, the latter starts flirting with him. Amenadiel, on the other hand, gets shot, but he immediately recovers from it within seconds.

Chloe’s ex-husband, Dan (Kevin Alejandro), is also back in his post. He was temporarily suspended in Season 1 after getting himself involved with the bad guys. In the teaser, he walks up to Chloe and kisses her on the lips. This suggests that the two have gotten back together while Lucifer was away.

Meanwhile, there will be a new addition to the cast of “Lucifer” Season 3. “Smallville” alum Tom Welling will be joining the cast as Marcus Pierce, an accomplished police lieutenant who happens to be very charming, charismatic and handsome. Pierce will also develop a close relationship with Chloe, and Lucifer will not be their biggest fan.

“Lucifer” Season 3 will premiere on FOX on Oct. 2 on its new 8 p.m. timeslot. The series will serve as a lead for the new mutant drama, “The Gifted,” according to TV Line.
