There will be a musical episode in “Lucifer” Season 5. The producers have confirmed that the Devil (Tom Ellis) will be “grooving” to the song “I’m Alright” by Kenny Loggins in one of the episodes.

Showrunners Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich teased some details about the last season of the popular TV series in a recent interview with TV Insider. The producers confirmed that there will be a musical episode on the show, and Ellis’ character will be seen singing and dancing.

Henderson was apparently not convinced about the idea of a musical episode at first. However, the producer later changed his mind about it when Modrovich explained how the fantasy sequence revealed Lucifer’s “exact mind-set.”

While the interview appears to show that Henderson was against the idea of a musical, Modrovich confirmed on Twitter that the comment in the interview was said in a “teasing way.” Both the producers were keen on getting Ellis to sing and dance for the fans in the final season.

Apart from the musical, there will some exciting storylines to look forward to in “Lucifer” Season 5. One character who could cause some trouble for the Devil is Eve (Inbar Lavi), whose storyline ended on an ambiguous note.

Henderson did not confirm Eve’s return in the next season, but said that they have to figure out what story is left for them to explore about the character, and how much of that story they want to share in the TV series.

As far as Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia) is concerned, Modrovich confirmed that the show will continue to be a “beacon of never-ending hope” through this character. Ella was last seen exploring her faith and role God plays in the lives of people, and she is expected to continue that journey about faith.

“Lucifer” Season 5 will premiere sometime next year. Ellis has already confirmed that there will be a total of 16 episodes on the show.
