'Lucifer' Season 5: Unexplored Relationship Issues Of Chloe And Devil

“Lucifer” Season 5, which will be the last installment of the show, will be airing at some point this year. Co-showrunner Joe Henderson recently teased some details about what the fans can expect on the show.

The Devil (Tom Ellis) was last seen going back to Hell to reign as king once again to stop the problems there from spreading to earth. Does this mean that there won’t be any scope for romance between him and detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German)? Not necessarily.

Henderson told TV Line recently that the show will look at the relationship between the Devil and Chloe from the angle of what they haven’t yet explored or explained yet. This is apparently the discussion he and Ildy Modrovich had before working on the scripts of Season 5.

Both the showrunners are “Deckerstar” fans, Henderson revealed. They too want to explore the romance between the two lead characters, and they have tried to put in all the things missing from the previous seasons on the show his time around.

On the question of whether the Devil will come back to earth from Hell, Henderson joked that it is possible he may never return. He didn’t want to share too many details about the show and wanted to keep some things as a surprise.

While it remains to be seen whether Ellis’ character will come back to earth, what has been confirmed is that he will get a visitor in Hell. Entertainment Weekly previously released a photo of Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) visiting his brother.

As far as Chloe is concerned, she will get a ladies’ night out, TV Line reported. The detective may need some time off to digest what she saw in the last season, and also deal with the fact that the person she is in love with is actually the Devil.

“Lucifer” Season 5 will be released sometime this year. The producers have yet to announce an exact release date.
