Luke Air Force Base Shooting: One Killed, Another Injured
One person died at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix on Monday night, after being shot by security officers.
At 11 p.m. Monday night, two men ran the main base entrance gate with their car following a police chase, said Capt. Gonzales, a spokesman at Luke Air Force Base.
According to the Associated Press, when the officials tried to stop the car, they did not stop, but instead drove towards him. In response, the security officer shot at the car, which then crashed into the gate Luke Air Force Base gate.
One of the occupants of the vehicle was killed and the other was wounded and transported to a hospital.
Investigators said they do not suspect terrorism, but suspect the men were instead car thieves.
