Luxury Vehicles For 2023
Luxury vehicles have gone up a notch with recent innovations in the auto industry.
Many automakers have shifted from combustion engines to hybrid or fully electric vehicles in the past few years.
Several have pledged to fully transform their fleets into electric or carbon-neutral vehicles by the end of the decade.
While there's been an upheaval in the accepted standards of the auto industry with these changes, it's only proven to make luxury vehicles better.
Here are three luxury vehicles in 2023.
Mercedes-Benz S-Class
With a base price of $115,550, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class is considered one of the safest luxury cars ever built. Mercedes says that the S-Class allows drivers to "follow an assured path between comfort and safety" with its "refined driving assistance systems" that ensures not only the safety of the driver but also everyone else on the road. The car's MBUX multimedia system gives drivers and passengers total control. It also provides an augmented reality display that anticipates driving style to help drivers keep an eye on the road. The S-Class has a one-of-a-kind Burmester 4D surround sound system that blocks out exterior noise to ensure a "harmonious concert experience" throughout the car.
Audi 8
The fourth-generation version of Audi's flagship luxury sedan includes a plug-in hybrid powertrain and a turbocharged V8 engine for a starting price of $87,800. The Comfort plus package includes an augmented reality display similar to the one found in the Mercedes-Benz S-Class for driving safety and comfort. An interactive touchscreen displays use haptic feedback, a secondary touchscreen features handwriting recognition, and more digital features and services. There's even a smartphone interface that allows drivers or passengers to wirelessly charge their smartphones and connect to either wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Genesis G90
The 2023 MotorTrend Car of the Year, the Genesis G90 has a base price of $99,795 and wowed MotorTrend's judges as they considered it to be the best luxury car on the market. The judges listed the engineering, "avant-garde design," and value for why they awarded the G90 with the Car of the Year award. While there's no wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, the seats come with a four different massage programs that can be assigned to a door button. High-tech features include blue-level light adjustment for backseat passengers and turning signal noises only playing from the driver's headrest speakers. The powertrain and chassis also wowed the judges with the adaptive cruise control thrilling one judge.
