Is Lying About Santa Claus Wrong? Why Kendra Wilkinson Told Son Hank The Truth About Christmas Myth
Former “Girl Next Door” reality star Kendra Wilkinson didn’t lie to her 7-year-old son, Hank Jr., when he asked if Santa Claus was real. The one-time Playboy star wanted her son to be able to trust her.
“I did spill the beans to little Hank about Santa. It was a rule: If he asked me twice, I'm not going to lie to him,” she told E! Online Wednesday. “This day in age, they're on the Internet. People are finding things out earlier.”
Wilkinson, 31, added: “I want Little Hank to know that he can rely on me for his truths, not his friends and now I can go home and really teach him that this is what the holidays are about.”
Even though Hank Jr. knows the truth about old Kris Kringle, it hasn’t diminished the fun for him. "He's having a good time pulling the trick on [his younger sister] Alijah,” the blonde reality star teased about the 2-year-old. “He loves being involved with the Santa thing. We'll play it by ear with her.”
What’s more important to Wilkinson than Santa Claus is helping those in need during the holiday season. She worked with Pay Away the Layaway, which helps customers help pay their bills at Kmart. “Today really touched my heart. I'm so emotional right now. Was so amazing to be a part of the @PayAwayLayaway giveaway at @Kmart,” she tweeted Tuesday. “We were able to pay away 18 family's layaways just in time for Christmas.”
She’s looking on the brighter side now, but Wilkinson was previously involved in a feud with former housemate and friend Holly Madison. Madison slammed ex-boyfriend Hugh Hefner in her book, “Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny,” but Wilkinson was there to defend him in May.
