MacBook Pro 2016 Release Date, Price Rumors Indicate June 13 Arrival
For the past few weeks, the rumor mill has been claiming that Apple is working on MacBook Pro 2016 models. Speculations suggest that the Cupertino, California, company will announce them in June this year.
Apple has not revealed any information on MacBook Pro 2016 models. However, it has announced that it will be holding the annual WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) June 13 -17. Speculations are rife that Apple may announce MacBook Pro 2016 on June 13, Mobi Picker reported.
Apple was expected to unleash MacBook Pro 2016 on March 21. However, it only announced the iPhone SE smartphone and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro tablet along with new band options for Apple Watch. Hence, Apple is expected to announce the MacBook Pro 2016 models in June.
MacBook Pro 2016 is likely to arrive in two versions. One model is expected to feature a 13-inch screen and other variant is speculated to offer a 15-inch display. Both the editions are rumored to be powered by sixth-generation Intel Skylake processors. The new chipset is expected to significantly improve the battery performance compared to previous models.
The MacBook Pro 2016 models are expected to come with thinner design like MacBook Air devices. Rumors also hint the new notebook will feature Retina Display along with OLED displays. Other speculated features include 9 hours of battery backup, Force Touch enabled Touchpad, USB Type-C, Siri for Mac, Touch ID fingeprint scanner, support for external graphics and dual-band a/c Wi-Fi.
As far as pricing is concerned, the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to cost about $1500. On other hand, the 15-inchmodel is expected to be priced around $2800. Apple is also rumored to be working on a 12-inch MacBook Air model. Even this model is expected to get unleashed during the upcoming WWDC 2016 event.
