Machine Gun Kelly Arrested, Diddy Responds to the Star's Incarceration
Rapper Machine Gun Kelly and two members of his posse were arrested by Florida police for a misdemeanor disorderly conduct on Sunday, for their role in huge brawl at Bishop Tavern, according to St. Petersburg Police.
Kelly took to Twitter to discuss the incident in a series of Tweets on Sunday.
Thanking God that only half of us went to jail, that @216XPLOSIVE is outta the hospital, and that we get to go back to Cleveland today..., wrote Kelly. The weirdest part of it was how many inmates in there knew who I was and knew about the movement. It was some trippy shit. Lace the F*** up.
The incident allegedly took place around 3 a.m. at 260 First Ave, where Kelly had performed. A woman had requested a song from the deejay when Kelly's manager, Andre Cisco, allegedly came up behind her and grabbed her inappropriately. The woman objected and a bouncer stepped in, according to the Tampa Bay Times. A fight ensued and Kelly was arrested approximately 4:15 a.m. and was released on bond.
In an interview the day after his arrest, Kelly said that Diddy, the founder of Bad Boy Records, who recently signed Kelly to his record label, was understanding of the arrest.
You can tell he's, like, playful with it, but there's a serious tone behind [it], Machine Gun Kelly told MTV News on Monday. I talked to Puff today, and he's like, 'It's all good. Do what you do. You did what you had to do.
However, Diddy apparently misread Kelly's Twitter statements and thought he was arrested twice. He then became sterner with Kelly.
He thought I was in the car too, so he thought I got arrested twice. It was like the first arrest was cool, like, all right, he'll let it slide. But when he [thought it was two arrests], he was like, 'What the f---? You got arrested two times? Something is wrong with you, man, said Kelly. He was, like, spazzing out. I think all the label is on edge about how we rock.
Kelly was also arrested last August. He was charged with disorderly conduct after authorities said he had allegedly organized a flash mob in a Cleveland Mall.
Kelly is currently on tour throughout the country. His next tour date is in Los Angeles on Feb. 8. However, he promised over Twitter he would not be arrested any more.
Anyways, thank you Florida for ragin this week. Lookin forward to seeing every state during this spring/summer tour (no more handcuffs tho!)
