Maci Bookout Pregnancy Update: ‘Teen Mom OG’ Star Shows Off Baby Bump, Says Bentley Is Ready To Meet Sister Jayde
It seems like just yesterday Maci Bookout announced to the world she was expecting her second child, but in just a few short weeks, she will deliver her baby girl. Ahead of her due date, the “Teen Mom OG” star updated her fans on her pregnancy Tuesday, sharing a photo of her baby bump and revealing how her son Bentley feels about becoming a big brother.
“This pregnancy is so different than my first one,” Maci, 23, captioned an Instagram photo which showed off her growing baby bump. “This time around, I’m prepared to take on the added responsibility and I’m confident in my parenting abilities. I can’t stress enough how important it is to wait until you’re ready to have children."
While Maci said she posted the pregnancy photo in an effort to appease fans who wanted to see her bump, the message appeared to be a PSA for the Candies foundation.
“It’s a more positive experience [because] I’m not 16 this time… but more exhausting,” Maci admitted. “I have a 6-year-old to keep up with too!”
Thankfully for Maci, she says Bentley has been taking on his new role as a big brother in stride. “He is very excited! I can already tell he is going to be very caring and very protective of his little sister,” Maci dished.
Maci announced she was expected her second child in December. While she called the pregnancy a “huge shock” due to her polycystic ovary syndrome diagnosis, she said she was thrilled to learn she would be having another baby. “I knew my chances of getting pregnant were very low,” she told In Touch Weekly. “This baby is such a blessing. I’m calling her my miracle baby.”
Last month, the couple confirmed to E! News their daughter's name will be Jayde Carter. “We finally agree and really feel like this is the perfect fit,” Maci said.
Catch up with Maci, Bentley and the rest of the “Teen Mom” cast on “Teen Mom OG.” New episodes air Mondays at 10 p.m. EDT on MTV.
