Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2017 Performers List: Gwen Stefani, Common And More
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is all about A-list entertainers. While massive balloons fly through Herald Square in New York City, there will be fun performances on the ground.
Gwen Stefani and 98 Degrees will be on hand to promote their new Christmas albums. They aren’t the only performers who kicked off their careers in the 1990s. The Goo Goo Dolls will also perform during the parade.
It seems like there will be something for everyone at the Macy’s parade. Hip-hop fans can expect the Roots, who will appear with Jimmy Fallon. Rapper Common and powerhouse vocalist Andra Day will perform as well. Reggae fans can enjoy Nicky Jam and Wyclef Jean.
Meanwhile, country fans can get excited for Sara Evans, Cam, Dustin Lynch and Lauren Alaina, and theatergoers can look forward to seeing “Hamilton” star Leslie Odom Jr. on a float with the muppets of Sesame Street. Those who enjoy mainstream pop will be able to see Bebe Rexha and Andy Grammer during the parade too.
The tweens and teens will be happy to see “Girl Meets World” star Sabrina Carpenter, “Cloak and Dagger” star Olivia Holt, “Vampire Diaries” star Kat Graham, “Dance Moms” star JoJo Siwa and 10-year-old “America’s Got Talent” alum Angelica Hale.
While the newbies experience their first Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade performances, there will be a few veteran performers there as well. The legendary Patti Labelle and Smokey Robinson will each perform.
The true veteran Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade performers, however, are the Radio City Rockettes. The dancers will wow the crowd with their high kicks and synchronized dance moves Thursday.
Not everyone will be in New York, though. The yearly event will kick off with a “Dancing in the Streets” segment broadcast from several locations across the country. Harry Connick Jr., Whoopi Goldberg, Steve Harvey, Jane Krakowski, Gaten Matarazzo, Chrissy Metz, John O’Hurley, Martha Stewart and Thalia will take part in the opening number.
Miss America Cara Mund, “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi and judge Tom Colicchio are also set to appear on floats in the Turkey Day parade. “TODAY” anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker will host.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be broadcast Thursday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. EST on NBC.
