'Mad Men' Season 5 Photos: Don Draper, Peggy Olson Shine In New Promos

AMC has unleashed new photos from season five of Mad Men (finally), and Don Draper (Jon Hamm), Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss) and company do not disappoint.

In the familiar Mad Men hue, everyone from Roger Sterling (John Slattery) to Lane Price (Jared Harris), to the sultry Joan Hollaway (Christina Hendricks), is holding back their smiles. Even Peggy delivers a smirk that smells all kinds of trouble.

The photo set, released Thursday afternoon via the official Mad Men Facebook page, comes just one day after some of the cast members attended an event for the season five premiere in Los Angeles.

But fans still don't know what to expect in the new season, scheduled to kick off with a two-hour premiere on AMC in ten days.

From the new photos, it looks like Sterling Cooper Draper Price is still in business, while Betty Draper (January Jones) is still very much a main character on the show (at least, according to her individual portrait).

The men still like their scotch (what else is new?) while Peggy rocks two fashionable outfits in the new photos (one lime green, one striped). Noticeably absent from the photos is Don's fiance from the end of season four, Megan, and his children with Betty. (But have no fear, Kiernan Shipka, who plays Sally Draper, was at Wednesday's premiere event).

And what about the rumors involving Don and Joan that have been driving Mad Men fans crazy?

Nothing in the new photos suggests a possible storyline, but Hamm, who directs one episode this season, has hinted at the relationship in the past.

The Don/Joan dynamic is something that we do explore [in season five], and don't take this the wrong way, but we do explore as the show goes on . . . they have worked together for a long time, they know one another very well and I'll leave it at that, he told Radio Times in February.
