Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s son, Maddox, left for South Korea to study college. While everyone thought he would a normal college life, the events that transpired on his first day at school apparently spoke otherwise.

Pitt and Jolie’s 18-year-old son opted to stay away from Hollywood life and went abroad to pursue a college degree for his chosen career at Yonsei University. The first of school started on Aug. 26 and lucky for the local TV crews and photographers, the school allowed them to get a glimpse of Maddox during the orientation, Radar Online reported.

Based on the published pictures, Pitt and Jolie’s son seemed to blend in well with his fellow college students. Despite the attempts of blending in like a normal college boy, the news outlet reported that the crowd looked at him in awe. Maddox wore a huge smile on his face while chatting with his new-found acquaintances and appeared really enjoying their conversation.

His parents are, of course, tagged as Hollywood’s A-list actors so the attention that he is gaining from the crowd isn’t that surprising. Jolie and Pitt’s son was reportedly welcomed by the students with arms wide open.

It seems that Jolie and Pitt’s son already has an avid fan as early as the start of Yonsei University’s school year. An English Literature and Language student named Hee Yong reportedly traveled two hours so she could just greet and speak with him.

Hee wanted to hang out with Jolie and Pitt’s son and even wanted them to become best friends with him, US Weekly was exclusively told by this 26-year-old Korea University student whose dream was to become a Hollywood star.

Information from the earlier reports indicated that Jolie and Pitt’s son would be studying biochemistry. While both reports from US Weekly and Radar Online revealed that his course was biotechnology.

These two [biochemistry and biotechnology] are distinct. Biochemistry is a branch of science which studies the chemical and physiochemical processes and substances occurring within living organisms, while Biotechnology deals with biological processes for industrial, chemical, technological and other purposes, particularly with genetic manipulation of microorganisms for production and/or manufacturing of antibiotics, hormones, etc., according to Explore Biotech. These fields of study are interesting and nowadays they are reportedly in demand; hence, a lot of students are reportedly fascinated in studying these. Whichever field of study Pitt and Jolie’s son is taking, whether it is Biochemistry or Biotechnology, many have anticipated that he would enjoy.
