Madonna Invokes ‘Take A Bow’ Look At 2015 Grammys Red Carpet With Matador Inspired Look; Twitter Reacts
Madonna seemed to conjure her 1994 hit “Take A Bow” when she attended the 2015 Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles Sunday night. Her unusual Givenchy attire set the Twitterverse abuzz.
Madge, as her fans affectionately call her, wore a bustier that could barely hold in her breasts. When paired with a black hat, leather gloves and thigh-high leather boots, Madonna looked like she was going for the matador look. For those who might not be familiar with “Take A Bow,” the singer’s leading man in the video is a bullfighter and she’s the glamorous damsel watching him from the audience.
So what did netizens have to say about the pink-and-black look with lace embellishments? Most of the comments about Madonna's 2015 Grammy attire were not nice.
Some said it reminded them of “Take A Bow,” which is now more than 20 years old.
Others couldn’t fathom why she would put that ensemble together, and remarked it was “Take A Bow” on the top and “Erotica” from the waist down.
There were very few who had positive things to say about the 56-year-old icon.
Her matador look Sunday night shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise. As one of the performers of the night, Madonna was rumored to bring back the look when she took to the stage to sing “Living For Love,” The Heavy wrote.
