  • Pop icon Madonna quashed all the reports claiming that she is still suffering from the novel coronavirus
  • Taking it to Instagram, she revealed that she got the virus when she was touring France
  • The Hollywood arist then maintained that she is currently not sick.

Madonna stunned the world when she revealed on social media that she had tested positive for coronavirus antibodies while touring.

The news spread like wildfire on social media and prompted many media outlets to come up with sensational headlines while covering the matter. Almost five days after her diagnosis, the famous singer quashed all the reports suggesting that she is still suffering from the disease.

Taking it to Instagram, the “La Isla Bonita” hitmaker clarified that she is “not” currently sick and feels grateful that she could be part of the team supporting the search for the novel coronavirus cure.

“I’m grateful that I can be a part of supporting Research to Find the cure for COVID-19!! I am not currently sick,” Madonna wrote in the caption.

She then revealed that she had the virus toward the end of her Madame X tour. The acclaimed musician was about to do a couple of shows in Paris but had to cancel them because of strict guidelines imposed by the French government.

The “Hollywood” singer also mentioned that many artists that accompanied her on the tour also got sick.

“When you test positive for anti-bodies it means you HAD the virus which I clearly did as I was sick at the end of my tour in Paris over 7 weeks ago along with many other artists in my show but at the time. We all thought we had a very bad flu,” Madonna said.

Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), antibody tests are conducted to have an idea if a person was exposed to the life-threatening illness or not.

Madonna concluded her post by saying that her social media update should “clear” things up with the people who jumped on the bandwagon and stated that she is still suffering from COVID-19.

“Thank god we are all healthy and well now. I hope that clears things up for the bandwagon jumpers!! Knowledge is Power!” Madonna said.

Madonna joins the list of celebrities who contracted the virus. Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Idris Elba, Olga Kurylenko, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, Kristofer Hivju, Kevin Durant, Charlotte Lawrence, Daniel Dae Kim, Olivia Nikkanen and Andy Cohen are some of the notable personalities who also tested positive.
