After some injuries suffered during her tour, Madonna announced that she would be canceling her last US show on the Madame X Tour. After a visit from the doctor, the Queen of Pop had to break the sad news to fans of the cancellation.

Madonna posted on Instagram that she would have to take it easy after having excruciating pain during the tour. In her post, she wrote: “I want to say how deeply sorry I am to all my fans. For having to cancel my last show.” The 61-year-old diva touched upon her health, saying it was the primary reason she had to make a desperate decision on her tour. “I spent the last two days with doctors…They have made it very clear to me that if l am to continue my tour— I must rest for as long as possible so that I don’t inflict further and Irreversible damage to my body,” the singer said.

Madonna is taking the necessary precautions to avoid any permanent damages to her body. “I have never let an injury stop me from performing but this time I have to accept that there is no shame in being human and having to press the pause button.”

The “Madame X” artist resumed touring after canceling a few dates between Nov. 30 and Dec. 2 due to injuries she sustained. This would mark the second time that the singer had to cancel some shows on her tour, according to People.

With Miami being the last stop on her US tour, the record-breaking artist would move on to Europe for the second leg to promote her 14th album “Madame X.” The singer hasn’t revealed what caused her injuries, but a video on her Instagram page from November showed her being bathed in ice for her legs from injuries after a show in LA. Madonna has since been resting easy, with the singer updating fans with another Instagram status post saying, "If I'm going to Rest and. Do Nothing at least I Can Do It in Style!"

Tickets to Madonna's Madame X Tour are still available for her European shows on her site.
