Mae Whitman, who is popularly known for lending her voice to Disney's Amity Blight character on "The Owl House" show, revealed she is pansexual on Twitter Monday.

"Just taking a moment to say I am SO proud to be even a small part of a show like The Owl House," the 33-year-old actress wrote. "Being pansexual myself, I wish I had such incredible characters like Amity and Luz in my life when I was growing up."

She added, "Queer representation is sososo important :,) keep it up world! #TOH."

Whitman went on to explain in another tweet that she is well-aware of the fact that many people might be "unfamiliar" with the term "pansexual."

"I know ppl might be unfamiliar with what pansexual means," she explained. "For me, it means I know I can fall in love with people of all genders. This is the word that fits me best _ and I’m proud+happy to be part of the Bi+ community."

She concluded the tweet by adding GLAAD's official website link, where people can learn more about bisexuals.

Netizens took to the comments section to support the actress.

One of the fans wrote, "Really happy that you are able to live the way you want and love the way you want" while another fan wrote, "I'm so insanely pleased to learn you're in the bi+ family too! this makes me so happy, you're amazing."

Another user wrote, "As a lesbian myself I'm very glad to be able to watch this show that means so much to me, thank you so much for bringing amity blight to life."

One of the viewers of Disney's show thanked the actress for lending her voice to the character they love and find relatable, "The feeling is mutual, Ms. Whitman. Amity and Luz helped me to come out as bisexual this year. I saw a lot of my own feelings in Luz and Amity's relationship and showed me that it's okay to like other people, regardless of gender. I wish I knew characters like them growing up."

The actress also took to Instagram to share a photo with her dog and said, "You might say I'm, Bi-Furious."

On the work front, the actress is a regular on the TV series, "Good Girls."
