Major CEX Mum On Shib Army's Petition To List BONE Ahead of Shibarium Announcement

Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange platform, seemingly snubbed Shib Army's request for it to list the Shiba Inu governance token BONE ahead of the imminent launch of the ecosystem's layer-2 solution Shibarium.

A petition in the worldwide non-profit petition website Change.org started by a user who goes by the handle Hello World requested Binance to list Bone Token on its exchange. The petition, which currently has 273 signatures, was made to "encourage Binance to be the first traditional brokerage to get on this train."

At present BONE is available on the Shiba Inu decentralized exchange (DEX) ShibaSwap, MEXC Global, CoinEx, and BitMart. Being listed on Binance will pave the way for users all over the world to gain access to the governance token. There is only 250 million BONE available and with the anticipated launch of Shibarium, the Shib Army is expected to purchase the token en masse since it would be used for gas fees at the upcoming layer-2 solution.

Aside from the petition started at Change.org, multiple Shib Army has also started campaigning for BONE to be listed on Binance. Former Shiba Inu Growth Breed member and social media influencer @GossipShib tweeted on Thursday, "Dear @binance, We #SHIBARMY kindly request to list $BONE (Shibarium Layer 2 - gas token) Thank you."

The tweet got 93 retweets and 321 hearts, as well as 14 comments, all of which echoed the social media influencer's plea for BONE to be listed on the major cryptocurrency exchange platform.

Another Shib Army, who goes by the Twitter handle @_Lady_Crypto_ asked, "Will @binance honor #SHIBARMY's respectful requests to list $BONE," adding, "Let's Go $SHIB Trifecta!"

Twitter handle @boneturkiye tagged the Twitter account of Binance's CEO and tweeted on Thursday, "Hi @cz_binance There We want to keep the #bone in our wallet in a safe place. We expect listing as the most reliable exchange from you. Thanks in advance."

Meanwhile, the Twitter handle @moragarcia75 said in a tweet tagging Binance's CZ that it is already on "Day 93 Kindly asking @binance and @BinanceUS to add $BONE and $LEASH to their exchange."

BONE is a governance token that allows its holders to vote on proposals in the Shiba Inu community. The more BONE one holds the greater the weight their vote carries in the ecosystem's future endeavor. BONE will also serve as the gas fee of the Shibarium, which means when the layer-2 solution launches, it will be a staple for apps and transactions in the new network.

Despite the repeated requests from the Shib Army, or the SHiba Inu community members, Binance did not react or comment. As of 1:12 a.m. ET on Friday, BONE was trading down 1.30% at $0.905 with a 24-hour volume of $7,505,162, based on the latest data from CoinMarketCap.
