Major iPhone developers make apps free
Apple has introduced an in-app purchase feature for free iPhone apps that will allow users complete transactions within the iPhone applications themselves without the use of the pp Store.
This is not the first time this feature will appear on the iPhone as it was previously available for paid applications.
Apple Apps developers will benefit from this as they will no longer have to make lite or teaser versions of applications along with ones that cost iPhone owners money.
One of the first confirmed games to take full advantage of this new functionality is ngmoco's highly anticipated multiplayer first person shooter Elminate.
In a Twitter post earlier this evening, company CEO Neil Young tweeted Apple announces in-app purchase for free games, and so do we. Eliminate will be free-to-play. Details coming soon!
