'Making It': How To Get Cast On Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman-Hosted NBC Show
It's been a long wait for fans of NBC's "Making It," but the popular crafting competition has finally returned. On Monday night, the Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman-hosted show kicked off its new season and introduced us to a new batch of contestants.
In the season premiere, viewers were introduced to a variety of new projects as the crafters took on the challenges. During the master craft portion of the episode, the makers were asked to create something that represented something from their childhood. The results, which can be seen in the video below, included portraits of their family members, lemonade stands, and other ideas that were used in order to create the new crafts.
As viewers tuned in, they may have also started to wonder how they too could be part of the show and try their hand at earning the grand prize of $100,000 and the title of "Master Maker."
Those who are interested can do so by applying on the official Making It casting website.
"Do you thrive on creating? Armed with a hot glue gun or a hammer, can you make just about anything? Whether you are a late-night garage tinkerer, an Etsy-preneur, or everyone's favorite grandma, we want you to apply!" reads the site.
The page asks general questions, such as your name, occupation, and Twitter handle, but it also dives a bit deeper as well. Further down, you will be instructed to describe your personality and three of your greatest achievements or accolades when it comes to your crafting career. Additionally, you will be asked to submit a short two or three-minute video of yourself describing your favorite pieces or inspiration behind your art. From there, finalists will be selected and notified.
Season 2 of "Making It" will continue to air on NBC over the next two weeks. Viewers can catch the next episode on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 10:00 p.m. EST.
