Malik Beasley pleaded guilty Monday to a felony charge stemming from a September incident as his romance with Larsa Pippen continues to heat up.

The Hennepin County Attorney's Office announced that the Minnesota Timberwolves player, 24, has pleaded guilty to one felony count of threats of violence, People reported. Beasley was charged after he allegedly pointed an assault rifle at a couple and their 13-year-old daughter on Sept. 26 outside the Plymouth, Minnesota home he used to share with his estranged wife, Montana Yao.

Prosecutors also dropped a felony fifth-degree drug possession charge related to the case as part of his plea. Yao was also charged with fifth-degree drug possession after nearly two pounds of marijuana were found in their home.

Beasley's felony charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor if he successfully completes three years of probation. He will be allowed to petition for its reduction after completing the second year of probation.

Beasley won't have to serve jail time or home confinement until after the 2020-21 NBA season, his lawyer confirmed. His sentence will not exceed 120 days.

"This resolution will allow Malik to play the 2020-2021 NBA season and work on becoming the player and person we know he can be," his lawyer, Steven Haney, told ESPN.

This comes just a day after Beasley and Pippen were photographed getting cozy in front of a massive Christmas tree while in Minnesota Sunday, People noted.

Pippen, 46, sported a mostly black outfit and had a yellow flannel top tied around her waist. Meanwhile, the basketball player donned a red hoodie and matching bottoms.

Pippen and Beasley were first linked to each other earlier this month when photos of them holding hands while walking inside a mall in November circulated online. His wife, Yao, with whom he shares a 1-year-old son, reportedly immediately filed for divorce after she saw their pictures.

"Montana filed for a divorce the day she saw the photos," an insider said. "Montana never cheated, and it's not in her character. She's not dating anybody. She's a family person. She's focusing on taking care of her son with her parents. They are quarantining together. Her son is her first priority."

Beasley appeared to be unfazed, however, as he was spotted flirting with Pippen on Instagram after their PDA photos surfaced.
