Mama June Shannon has officially confirmed that she’s single following her split from ex-boyfriend Geno Doak.
The 42-year-old reality star addressed her relationship status in a recent live conversation with a friend on social media. During their chat, Mama June confirmed that she and the 45-year-old have called it quits and suggested they have been over for a while now.
“Listen, Geno is not in the f—-in’ picture,” the We TV star was quoted as saying during the live chat by TMZ. “[He’s] not part of my life, hasn’t been.”
The “Mama June: From Not to Hot” star also seemingly addressed the questions from fans about her and Geno’s relationship on her social media accounts when she said that if people really want to know what’s going on with Geno’s life, they should just check his Instagram.
Geno, who has been elusive on social media in the past, recently decided to update his Instagram with two new posts, and they all appeared to suggest his heartbreak over his failed romance with Mama June.
Early this month, Geno shared a cryptic post about giving someone the freedom they wanted. Three days later, he uploaded a snap of the beautiful sunset he witnessed on Jensen Beach in Florida, around the same time when fans claimed online that they saw Mama June moving to Florence, Alabama.
It’s not clear when the two of them broke up, but earlier this year, when the fifth season of their family’s reality series was still on, Mama June was asked to choose between her daughters and her then-boyfriend in a promotional interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“It’s a no-brainer. You always pick your kids,” she said at the time. “Men come and go. Kids and some family always stay.”
By the end of Season 5, Mama June reconciled with her daughters Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 21, and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 15. She also made a vow back then to win her family back after abandoning them two years, at the peak of her drug addiction struggles with Geno.
Mama June and Geno got arrested on drug-related charges in March 2019. While Mama June was able to dodge prison, Geno was recently sentenced to 16 months in Macon Community Corrections in Alabama in his crack cocaine case.
