‘Mama June: From Not To Hot’ Finale Spoilers: June Undergoes Eye Surgery

In the final installment of “Mama June: From Not To Hot” Season 2, Mama June decides to undergo a critical eye surgery to save her vision. However, she faces the predicament of deciding on whether she’s willing to do the operation while Pumpkin goes into labor.

According to the synopsis for “Mama June: From Not To Hot” Sheason 2, episode 8, titled “Make Womb for Baby,” Mama June is ordered by her doctor to undergo another surgery for her eyes to prevent her from going blind. But she’s in a dilemma when she learns that her daughter, Pumpkin, has been rushed into labor.

In episode 6 of this season, Mama June first revealed that she had eye problems ever since she was born. “My eye problems started when I was born. I was born with cataracts and nothing was ever done,” the 38-year-old reality star said. “I went blind in my right eye four years ago and now my good eye is really bad.”

A shocking event also happened in the said episode when Mama June woke up but was unable to see anything. “I literally can’t see anything out of either one of my eyes. I can’t see anything,” she told her boyfriend Geno, who quickly rushed him to the hospital for an emergency eye surgery.

Mama June at the time expressed her fear of going blind and not having that chance to see Pumpkin’s baby. “I am totally scared about losing my vision. I feel like I’m going to lose my independence and it’s really starting to weigh on me,” she said ahead of her eye surgery, which involved re-connecting her detached retina.

The ordeal didn’t end there, however. In episode 7, Mama June and her family panicked when the television personality’s eye surgery failed. This caused Mama June to break down in tears when Pumpkin had an ultrasound. She was once again hit by the possibility that she may not have a chance to see her grandchild should her next eye surgery fail.

It appears the season finale is going to be a rollercoaster for Mama June. For one thing, she learns that Pumpkin has entered labor while she’s about to have her final chance at keeping her eyesight. The synopsis reveals that against her doctor’s orders, Mama June goes to Pumpkin’s side when the latter gives birth. Will this have serious repercussions on Mama June’s serious eye problem?
