Mama June Now 2017: Daughter Slams Weight Loss On ‘From Not To Hot’
While most people were flabbergasted with Mama June Shannon’s weight loss, there was one person who was unimpressed: Her estranged daughter, Ana “Chickadee” Caldwell. Caldwell claimed her mother went through with the weight loss and skin removal for the attention—not to better herself.
“I think she did it just to be more famous,” the former reality TV star told E! Online in an exclusive interview Thursday. “I don't think she did it just for her because she never mentioned anything ever before about getting plastic surgery.”

Caldwell, 22, stressed the “From Not to Hot” show was about putting Shannon, 37, in the limelight. “I think Mama did get herself out there to get another show,” she said. “That's my opinion on that. I don't think she did it or anything for herself. If she would have done it for herself, she would have tried to lose the weight a long time ago.”
Caldwell, who formerly appereared on “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” was doubtful she would appear on reality TV again—even if she did have plastic surgery. “Everybody wants me to get my own show anyways regardless of getting anything done,” she said. “I doubt it's going to happen, but it would be nice. Lots [of people have] been asking me about getting my own show with my kids again. [They] tell me that they would watch the show just for me and kids.”
By Thursday, Shannon did not immediately respond to her daughter’s comments.

Shannon previously told International Business Times in a phone interview Friday that she wasn’t sure what the future held for her. “I don’t know what’s next,” the reality TV star revealed. “I don’t have a plan in mind. I have a couple of things that are in the works, but nothing is set in stone. Right now I’m enjoying spending time with the family and not being in production.”
“Mama June: From Not to Hot” airs Fridays at 10 p.m. EST on WEtv.
