Mama June Praises ‘Awesome’ Daughter Pumpkin Shannon In Heartfelt Mother’s Day Tribute

Mama June Shannon paid a heartfelt tribute to her 21-year-old daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon for being such an “awesome mom” on Mother’s Day.

The “Mama June: Road To Redemption” titular star took to Instagram Sunday to share an adorable photo of Pumpkin and the latter’s daughter Ella Grace, 3, as they playfully pose inside a huge box for the camera.

Mama June then wrote a lengthy caption expressing how proud she is of her daughter for not only taking care of baby Ella, but also for stepping up and watching over her sister Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 15, when their mom wasn’t around. She also proclaimed that Pumpkin would definitely do a great job parenting her upcoming baby with husband Joshua Efird, 24.

“Happy Mother’s Day to [Pumpkin] u r a awesome mom to tink n will be with this new baby too n I’m so proud I know I have put y’all through hell with my addiction n I’m sorry but Im here in present clean n sober with y’all now n loving things r getting back to normal,” Mama June wrote.

“Im grateful for u stepping up when u didn’t have to with Alana when I couldn’t even take care my own self,” she added before thanking Pumpkin once again in her Mother’s Day post.

Many fans quickly flooded the post with positive messages. A number expressed how happy they were to witness Mama June acknowledging Pumpkin’s efforts in running her own family and taking care of her younger sister.

“I’ve been waiting for this something like this post so that I could say I genuinely teared up last night and was so proud of Pumpkin and how she made sure to make Alana know that she’s not a burden. With everything going on I’m just really proud of the mom that you are Pumpkin. Happy Mother’s Day,” one fan wrote.

“So glad mama June is complementing [sic] and appreciating pumpkin. You’re all in this together and I’m so glad June is on the road to recovery. Congratulations on baby two. Much love. Pumpkin and Josh you were doing such a great job,” another commented.

Alana also took to her personal Instagram account to share a black and white photo of her, Mama June and Pumpkin smiling to the camera. In her caption, she greeted all the “amazing mothers out there” and thanked both her mom and her sister for “supporting me no matter what.”
