‘Mama June: Road To Redemption’ Spoilers: Josh Efird Lands New Job Amid Pumpkin Shannon’s Second Pregnancy

Josh Efird will finally land a new job amid Pumpkin Shannon’s pregnancy with their second child on this week’s episode of “Mama June: Road To Redemption.”

In a teaser trailer released by We TV on YouTube, Josh, 24, is seen reaching out to Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson, 49, to ask the latter for some help as he is struggling to find a new job after quitting his previous employment in South Carolina.

The video starts with Josh saying in a confessional that his previous attempts at finding a job did not work out, so he is ready to tap his backup plan, and it involves 15-year-old Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s dad.

In the next scene, Josh is shown entering Sugar Bear’s office while telling the latter, “I am in need of employment.” The clip then jumps back to Josh’s confessional where he recalls the time he helped Sugar Bear out by allowing him to live in his backyard. At the time, Sugar Bear did it so he could spend some time with Alana, who is under the care of her older sister and Josh’s wife Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, 21.

When Sugar Bear asks Josh in the trailer why he quit his previous job, the latter confesses that he walked away from it because he wanted to “come home to spend time with the family.” His former workplace was quite far from his house in Georgia.

“Now I just found out — between me and you — that my family is getting bigger,” Josh was quoted as saying by the Irish Sun in the snippet. He was referring to his wife’s second pregnancy three years after they welcomed their first baby, Ella Grace.

Sugar Bear recognizes that he still owes Josh, so he makes his decision after the latter admits to him that it’s been very difficult for him to find a job because “nobody’s hiring.” “Well, it just so happens that I do need a weed-eater guy,” Sugar Bear says to Josh toward the end of the clip. He then tells Josh that he could start reporting to his new job the following day.

Meanwhile, spoilers from Soap Dirt recently revealed that Pumpkin will try to hide her pregnancy from Alana and their mom, June Shannon, 41, for two different reasons. First, she does not want Alana to once again think that she’s a burden to her and her family. Next, she feels Mama June might react negatively to the news.

The all-new episode of “Mama June: Road To Redemption” airs Friday at 9 p.m. ET on We TV.
