Mama June Shannon Plastic Surgery Update: Weight Loss Surgery To Be Shown On New Series
Reality star Mama June Shannon is about to display a whole new look. After the Georgia native lost 100 pounds in 2013 “without even trying,” the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star is ready to take her weight-loss to the next level with gastric bypass surgery. Her journey to fitness was documented by WEtv for the seven one-hour episodes, “Mama June: From Not to Hot.”
Shannon, 37, was inspired to change her look after she discovered her ex-husband, Sugar Bear, cheated on her. “Eleven years of drama with Alana’s dad was getting [to be] way too much,” she says in clip for the new series, obtained by People Magazine Thursday. “So I gave him one last chance and dragged Sugar Bear’s a-- to ‘Marriage Boot Camp.’ While we [were] there the truth came out: The bastard was cheating on me.”
While Shannon was devastated, she didn’t stay down for long. “The truth can also set you free,” she says. “When I got home, first I kicked Sugar Bear’s a-- to the curb. Then I got a whole new [house]. I used the last of my savings to buy me, Pumpkin and Alana a brand new home in my home town.”
That’s when the reality TV star was ready to transform her life — mind, body and soul. “Goodbye old life. Goodbye men that don’t treat me right. Goodbye this old body,” Shannon says. “When I’m done, I’m not even going to recognize my own self in the mirror. Y’all better get ready.”
In addition to surgery, Shannon also added intense reportedly had four extensive plastic surgery procedures, too. “After the weight loss surgery, I’m going to look completely different,” Shannon says. “I’m scared.”
“Mama June: From Not to Hot” is slated to premiere Feb. 24 at 10 p.m. EST on WEtv.
