‘Mama June’ Spoilers: Financial Problems, Geno’s Arrest, Alana’s Struggles And Possible Pregnancy

“Mama June: From Not To Hot” is finally back this Friday, but things are not looking so great for Mama June Shannon, daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and their family.

When Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and sister Alana stopped by Cheddar ahead of the Season 3 premiere, the former dropped a major bombshell when she revealed that their financial problems and family problems will be chronicled in this installment of their reality show.

Pumpkin didn’t say anything more about her revelations, but the teaser trailer for their show may have already given some hints on what she was referring to. For instance, there’s Geno’s arrest. A scene in the trailer shows Mama June’s boyfriend getting handcuffed and being escorted by the police.

It’s not clear why Geno was arrested, but Daily Mail exposed in July last year that he actually has a lengthy criminal record that includes theft, burglary and criminal damage to property. He was even sent to prison twice.

Another storyline that will be featured on the all-new “From Not To Hot” is Alana’s journey to Hollywood. It’s no secret that she competed in the previous season of “Dancing With the Stars” last year. Now it’s time for fans to get an inside look at how she prepared for the ballroom dancing competition.

During her interview with Cheddar, Honey Boo Boo already dropped a major spoiler when she said that for the Junior edition of the hit ABC series, she struggled so much because they were made to prepare and perform two to three dances each week unlike the adult’s division that only had one live show weekly.

“We would do two or three shows a week. We would have to learn two or three dances and possibly an opening number and we would have to do all that in under four days and we would only get like five hours of practice,” she said.

In addition to her “DWTS” stint, Alana will also dabble in some acting based on the trailer. The former “Toddlers & Tiaras” star is going to audition for a role in a movie. However, the teaser shows that she might have a hard time convincing talent scouts given her childish antics.

Meanwhile, fans should also watch out for the possibility of Mama June getting pregnant this season. The mom of four has been gaining some weight after her massive transformation two years ago. Based on the sneak peek, she could be stress eating because of Geno’s arrest, or she could be eating for two.

“Grandma flow is a little late for her visit this month,” Mama June says in the trailer before the clip jumps to a scene showing her getting checked at an OB/GYN center. The teaser also shows a scene of Geno storming out when Mama June delivers to him the result of her checkup.
