Mama June Shannon’s ex-boyfriend Geno Doak flaunted a huge smile on his face months after their breakup.
On Tuesday, the 46-year-old took to Instagram to share a selfie showing him flashing a smile to the camera while lying in bed.
“New everything. Life is good today,” he wrote in the caption.
Geno’s post came after the latest episode of “Mama June: Road To Redemption” Season 6 showed his breakup with the Shannon matriarch after six years of exclusively dating.
When the reality show returned with an all-new season on May 13, Mama June revealed that she was hatching a plan to finally end her relationship with Geno after years of multiple scandals, including substance abuse, drug-related arrests and other problems.
During the premiere episode, Honey Boo Boo’s mom considered splitting from Geno at the courthouse during his sentencing. But the case got postponed, forcing her to cancel her plan to break up with him in front of law enforcement officers.
In the second episode that aired last week, Mama June finally mustered her courage to walk away from Geno. Though their split is being featured on the show this season, it actually happened last year.
For months, Geno stayed silent on social media even if Mama June threw him under the bus last year, saying his alcohol problems prompted her to leave him.
But in February, Doak made his comeback on the photo-sharing platform by sharing a selfie from his bed. Many were pleased to see him again, including Mama June’s daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, who left a comment saying she was “glad to see [him] doing good.”
Doak returned to social media after TMZ revealed that he lost about 70 pounds in his six-month stay in rehab. In an interview with the outlet, Geno said he managed to turn his life around while working on getting clean.
His latest post reflected how much he has changed after his rehab stint. Fans showered him with praise for conquering his substance abuse and alcohol problems.
“Sobriety looks good on you! You look 20 years younger in this pic. Well done! Keep hanging on,” one wrote.
“Looking healthy and happy. Keep it up. You deserve it,” another added.
“You look AMAZING! Keep up the good work. Congrats on your sobriety,” a third user commented.
“Mama June: Road To Redemption” Season 6 airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on We TV.
