- Court has granted Grande a restraining order against Brown
Being a star has its ups and downs, but the latter can sometimes be life-threatening. In such an instance, a 23-year-old man was arrested Friday after he showed up outside of Ariana Grande's house and brandished a knife when security asked him to leave, a TMZ exclusive report said.
The accused, identified as Aaron Brown, allegedly arrived at the “Positions” singer's Hollywood Hills home in Los Angeles at 2 a.m. and demanded to see her. However, when her security tried to make him leave, he flashed a knife at them.
The guards immediately called the Los Angeles Police Department, who arrived at the scene and arrested Brown, TMZ reported. It is unclear whether Grande was present at home during the encounter.
Following the incident, the 28-year-old singer filed for a temporary restraining order against Brown, which has been granted. On a later hearing, it will be decided whether the restraining order needs to be extended or not.
This is not the first time a trespasser has been arrested outside Grande’s home. In May 2020, the singer and her mother Joan were granted five-year restraining orders against a stalker named Fidel Henriquez, who had reportedly snuck past her security team and left a note at her front door. The man was booked for misdemeanor trespassing and felony battery, after allegedly spitting on the officers who arrested him.
Lately, Grande has been keeping a low profile, as she decided to skip events like MTV Video Music Awards, despite being nominated, and the Met Gala, this Monday, for unknown reasons.
The singer is all set to join “The Voice” as a coach for its season 21, where she will be replacing Nick Jonas. She has previously performed on The Voice in May 2016 during the season finale, where she sang “Into You” and joined the then-coach Christina Aguilera for a sizzling duet on “Dangerous Woman.”
In other news, Grande has been featured in Adam Mckay directed movie "Don’t Look Up." The movie stars Leo Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Kid Cudi, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, Tyler Perry, Cate Blanchett, among others. It’s set to be released in theaters on Dec. 10 and Netflix on Dec. 24.
