Man Breaks Into Daycare, Punches Pregnant Employee And Grabs Child; Charged

A Florida man was accused of breaking into a Miami daycare Friday, punching a pregnant employee there, and grabbing a child.
The man trespassed at the Meni-ninho Meni-ninha Enrichment Center in Miami and punched a pregnant teacher before grabbing a girl, Local 10 News reported, citing cops. The man, Guillermo Rodriguez Perez, 51, appeared before a judge Monday.
The suspect jumped a fence and entered a playground where there were 25 children playing. The children alerted the pregnant teacher, who then confronted Perez, 850wftl reported. Angered, Perez then punched the teacher and even attempted to break her radio as she called for help.
As other teachers worked to help the children back to the school building for safety, Perez attacked another teacher and forced his way inside. He then grabbed one young girl from a classroom and attempted to leave the school.
Other staff members were able to free the child from Perez's possession and pin him to the ground. During his court appearance, Perez was charged with burglary, aggravated assault, and attempted kidnapping. He is currently being held without bond.
In February 2020, at least four children were injured after a motorist crashed the car into a Pennsylvania daycare center. The incident happened at the Children of America Educational Childcare center located at Upper Southampton Township, Bucks County. The injured children were hospitalized and one of them was listed in critical condition. The condition of the other children wasn't revealed.
