Man Claims He Spotted Alien Spaceship Above Ocean, Shares Pictures: 'I've Seen A Few'
A man from the U.K. firmly believes he spotted a UFO in the sky soaring above the Arctic ocean. An office manager named Edward Jones said he was using Google Earth when he found the mysterious object hovering off the coast of the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard.
The 32-year-old man from Liverpool, Merseyside, was thrilled about his find but found naysayers saying the object looked more like Jesus ascending into the sky or a seagull soaring in the air, according to Wales Online.
“When I'm bored, I'll go on Google Earth and look around at different locations that you're never going to see [in real life],” Jones explained about how he stumbled upon the sight, according to the publication.
“I was just being nosey and I was having a look up around Greenland and the Arctic. One of the shots was on a boat and I spotted it when I zoomed in. It didn't look like anything I'd ever seen and I couldn't understand what it was in the middle of the sea,” he went on to say. “I'm a big believer in UFOs, I've seen a few with my own eyes. I couldn't say what it is. The way it's flying, it's sort of vertical, not horizontal like a plane."
The UFO-hunter shared images of the object on a Facebook group and saw comments from amused social media users.
“That is very clearly the Lord and saviour himself,” one comment said while another read: “Looks like a body either ascending or descending.”
“My God. It's clearly a seagull,” another added.
Despite the scepticism and the lacklustre explanations of what the object might be, Jones firmly believes he found an otherworldly object.
"I don't know why non-believers are in that group if they're just going to slate everything. I know what I saw and it wasn't a seagull, I never saw a seagull that looked like that,” Jones said, according to the outlet. "Some people said it looked like a body ascending, like Jesus. One person even said it looked like Michael Jackson doing his hat-off pose. I don't think it's a body ascending and I definitely don't think it's Michael Jackson.”
“It's just something I can't identify, so I'd classify it as a UFO. Personally I think if aliens were to be anywhere on the planet, they'd be up around places like Greenland or Antarctica,” he added.
If not a UFO, Jones thinks the object must be the subject of top-secret military files.
“I definitely think it's not from this earth. And if it is from Earth, the only other thing I think it could be is something the military are working on,” Jones said, as quoted by CornwallLive. "They could be testing somewhere out there, like a drone or something we haven't seen yet. Whenever I see UFOs I get excited, I've seen a few of them over the years. I look up more than most people, so maybe that's why I'm always seeing them."
