Man Hacked To Death After Wife Thrashes Her Molesters In Front Of Cops

A man in India was hacked to death by a group of men to exact revenge on his wife, who thrashed them for allegedly molesting her, reports said.

The shocking incident happened in Yelehanka, near Bengaluru, a city in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. The victim, identified as 33-year-old Chandrashekar, was killed by miscreants on Oct. 21 while he was standing on the terrace of his house, police said, as reported by Times Now News.

Investigation revealed that the victim was killed by the unidentified suspects to exact revenge for a previous enmity with his wife. Chandrashekar and his wife, identified as Shwetha, were staying in Pedihatti, a village in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, before they shifted around six months back to their current residence near Bengaluru.

The investigators determined that while the couple was staying in Pedihatti, Shwetha had filed a police complaint against the suspects saying that the men harassed her frequently. To resolve the issue, cops reportedly called the alleged perpetrators and asked Shwetha to thrash the men in front of them. The couple left the town after the incident.

Police officials now believe that Chandrashekar was murdered for revenge. They have started a detailed investigation into the matter, The Free Press Journal reported.

Meanwhile, it is unclear if the police have registered a case against the suspects whose identities are not been revealed. It is also unclear if cops have arrested anyone in connection with the incident.

In an unrelated incident, a teen rape victim in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh was set ablaze by the perpetrator's mother and sister after he was asked to marry the girl. The victim, a 15-year-old girl, got pregnant after she was reportedly raped by a 25-year-old man, identified by his first name Abhishek, from the same village. When the alleged sexual assault came to light, the village council ordered the suspect to marry the victim. The suspect's unidentified mother and sister then reportedly took the girl to their house, poured kerosene over her, and set her ablaze.
