A Chinese man was sentenced to death Friday for killing his nine-year-old daughter’s classmate for bullying her.

According to the court records, on May. 9, the unidentified daughter informed her father, identified only as Wang, that she was being bullied by her classmate, surnamed Liu. Well aware about Wang’s bad temper, his wife communicated with Liu’s parents, who agreed to meet them in order to solve the problem.

The following morning, Wang took the girl to school but got furious upon knowing that Liu’s parents were not there. He then sent his daughter back home, barged into her classroom with a knife and stabbed Liu over 10 times in front of other students. He then carried the boy to the playground and dropped him there. The boy was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died.

The man was sentenced to death by the Shangrao Intermediate People's Court on Friday and was not allowed to appeal to a higher court.

During the sentencing, the court said, "Wang didn't want the relationship between his daughter and her classmate to improve, and only wanted revenge. His killing of the boy, who was only 9, constitutes the crime of intentional homicide.”

The court added that though he confessed to the crime, he was not forgiven by Liu’s family because of which they “decided not to be lenient in punishing him.”
