Man Puts Up Ex-Lover's Bridal Gown For Sale With A Rude Description, Calls Her 'Size-Fat'
A man who accused his ex-fiancee of cheating tried to sell her bridal gown online, but he ended up receiving flak after he used some harsh words in the sales description.
The unidentified man, from the U.K., posted an advertisement on Facebook Marketplace to sell the dress for $6.29 (£5). He claimed he called off the wedding after learning his fiancee had cheated on him.
However, the man ended up on the receiving end of criticism for his scathing description. "Wedding dress – size fat," the advertisement read, according to News.com.au.
"Wedding dress – would fit the larger lady, quite chavvy in style so would suit a cheap sl**per," he wrote in the description. The man added that the size-12 dress would possibly be bigger because his ex was "prone to lying." "It's a size 12 I think – she was prone to lying so it’s possibly a 14/16," he wrote, Technocharger reported.
"I had a lucky escape, so it's brand new, which is more than can be said for the intended wearer's vagina," the now-deleted ad read. "UK local only as its collect only - I will not be posting this item."
Internet users were left unimpressed by the advertisement, with some claiming the description reflected more of the man's character than of his ex-fiancee. "Somehow I think it's she who had the lucky escape," one user commented. "Damn she had a lucky escape," wrote another.
The Stockton-on-Tees Facebook page shared photos of the gown, including one that showed the man's ex-lover wearing it, earlier this week. However, they were deleted later. A screenshot of the advertisement shared on TikTok by the user @pduck11 had gone viral.
There is no evidence that the allegations made by the man were true.
"She looked stunning. I'm glad she didn't marry him," one TikTok user commented.
"I think it's a beautiful dress – she's probably the lucky one to get out of the relationship," another user said.
Some users even sided with the man, claiming that he had the right to vent his ire on her if the woman had actually cheated on him. "Everyone thinking she had a lucky escape when sounds like he was cheated on. Who hasn't said crap about an ex," one user commented. "All the 'she's had a lucky escape' comments but if it was a girl trashing a guy's car they'd all be hyping her up! Double standards," another person wrote.
