Man Rapes 4-Year-Old Child By Luring Her With Ice Cream, Leaves Her Bleeding

A 28-year-old man has ended up behind bars for brutally raping a 4-year-old girl after luring her into a secluded place by offering her ice cream.

The shocking incident happened in the Indian state of Maharastra last week, reports The Indian Express.

According to the police, the accused was a neighbor of the child's family in the locality of Saki Naka. He approached her after seeing the girl playing alone near her home. The man owns a stall nearby and offered to buy her ice cream. The child trusted him and went with him to the secluded area.

"As the victim was familiar with the accused, she went with him," a senior police official of the Saki Naka police told the news outlet.

After raping the child, the man left her near her home. By then, the girl's mother, who noticed the child missing, had already started searching for her. Though the child was found, the mother realized she was unwell and in great pain. A further physical check revealed that she was bleeding from her private parts. The mother immediately approached the police after rushing her to the hospital.

"Her medical examination reports confirmed that she was sexually assaulted," the officer added.

Hospital authorities and the child's mother spoke to the girl, who told them about the incident. The child also identified the accused. The Saki Naka Police immediately send a team to the residence of the accused. He was at home and was immediately taken to custody.

Police said the accused will face rape and assault charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

A similar incident happened a few months ago when a 23-year-old man was arrested for raping his neighbor's 4-year-old daughter, in the Indian state of Gujarat. The accused, on seeing the child playing with her brother outside, lured her into his home. The incident came to light after the child's family began a search after noticing the child missing. They later found the girl unwell and bleeding inside the man's house. Police were alerted, and the child was rushed to the hospital. The accused reportedly went to sleep after raping the child. Police said the suspect was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crime.
