Man Shot Dead By Wife For Allegedly Raping Daughters

A man was killed by his wife for allegedly raping their daughters. The incident took place in Peshawar, Pakistan, on Thursday.

Police responded to a home after receiving information about a murder. Upon arrival, the officers saw 40-year-old Gul Meena sitting beside the body of the victim, identified as Muhammad Jan.

Upon questioning, the woman confessed to killing the man and said her husband had been sexually abusing his daughters for a while. On Wednesday night, he again assaulted their 14-year-old daughter. The following morning, Meena shot at her husband while he was sleeping. He succumbed to injuries on the spot.

The woman was taken into custody and the police officers collected evidence from the crime scene. Investigation was ongoing and police said the daughters will undergo medical tests. The mother remained in police custody and further legal action will be taken once the medical reports of the daughters are out.

In a similar incident in the Indian state of Assam, a man was stabbed to death by his wife for allegedly raping their teenage daughter. The woman told the police that “her husband routinely misbehaved with their daughter and had even raped her. That's the reason she decided to kill him.”
