Man Stabbed So Hard Between The Eyes Blade Reached His Brain; Accused Jailed

A woman in the United Kingdom was handed a three years jail term this week for stabbing a man between his eyes so hard that the knife penetrated his brain.

The horrific assault left the man with a bleeding brain, and he had to have his one eye removed. The victim, who wasn't identified, was stabbed by Brittany Stone, 28, in July 2020, at the former's apartment in Chilwell, Nottingham. While drinking together at the flat, an argument broke out between the pair in the early hours of the morning, after which Stone allegedly followed him outside the residence and stabbed him viciously, Nottingham Post reported.

The man was rushed to hospital in a serious condition after the attack, Nottinghamshire Community Safety wrote on its Facebook page back then. "This was an isolated incident that has led to a serious injury. The victim's injuries are described as serious," Detective Sergeant Dave Beach of Nottinghamshire Police Department, was quoted in the post, as saying.

The woman was arrested at the scene and later pleaded guilty to a charge of grievous bodily harm with intent, the outlet reported. According to Nottinghamshire Post, Stone allegedly also stabbed the victim in the back.

"Violence of this kind is unacceptable and I'd like to reassure people that we remain committed to driving down knife crime even further in our communities. We will continue to work tirelessly to remove dangerous weapons off our streets and take robust action against anyone believed to be involved in violent crime," Detective Constable Peter Burrows, of Nottinghamshire Police, told the outlet.

In June, a 40-year-old man brutally stabbed his wife to death over the suspicion that the latter was having an extramarital affair. The incident took place in the Indian capital of New Delhi. The accused, Harish Kumar, killed his 36-year-old wife Pinki, after tying her up with a tape and stabbing her so severely that her stomach was ripped apart. Cops arrived to find Pinki lying in a pool of blood while Harish lay in another room. The police said Harish had been unemployed for several years and had been an alcoholic.
