Man Steals Human Hand From Crematorium, Cooks It At Home Before Stunned Wife

A woman was shocked to find her husband cooking a human hand that he had stolen from a crematorium. The incident took place in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.

According to local reports, the woman returned home from the market and found her unidentified husband cooking something for dinner. She went closer and was shocked to find him cooking a human hand. The wife immediately rushed outside the home and alerted the neighbors who informed the police. The neighbors locked the man inside the home till the officers arrived and took him into custody.

Investigation revealed that the man had stolen the hand from a crematorium.

“We visited the house of the man and found the human flesh. Police have detained the accused. Prima facie, he had brought it from the bank of Ganga [river] where bodies are cremated,” a police officer said.

It was also revealed that the man was an alcoholic and was previously jailed for attacking his father.

“The accused has already been to jail for attacking his father and seems to be mentally unstable. However, the investigation is underway,” another police officer said.
