In a suicide note found by police, the man, identified as S Naveen, stated that his job search had lasted for years, despite being an engineering school graduate, and that if he had gotten a job, he allegedly "promised" to give up his life to God as a "final sacrifice," The News Minute reported.
The bizzare incident began about two weeks after Naveen, who was from Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari district, was hired by Bank of India. He flew from Mumbai to Thiruvananthapuram and then headed to the Nagercoil railway station, where police discovered his dismembered body on the tracks. Authorities who saw the grisly remains believe Naveen was lying on the tracks before a train ran over him, according to India Today.
The suicide note, recovered from his pocket, said, "I am going to God, who gave me a job. " Naveen's body was brought to Kanyakumari Government Medical College Hospital in Assaripallam for a post-mortem examination.
In their investigation, authorities are trying to find out if Naveen had any other reasons to commit suicide.
