Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus Agrees Personal Terms With Arsenal [Details]

Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has reportedly agreed to personal terms with Arsenal ahead of the 2022-23 season.

Jesus, who has just a year left on his contract with Man City, is set to join Arsenal on a five-year deal, according to The Guardian.

Arsenal and Man City have agreed to a $55 million transfer fee for the Brazilian striker, Goal.com reported.

Arsenal are expected to announce Jessus' arrival at Emirates in the coming days. It is believed that the North London club is looking to wrap up the formalities of the deal quickly to ensure Jesus will be able to travel with Arteta's squad for the upcoming tour in the United States.

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal failed to finish in the top four of the 2021-22 Premier League as they finished fifth in the table, two points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur. As a result, Arsenal missed out on the Champions League and will play in the Europa League next season.

In a bid to strengthen his side for the upcoming campaign, Arteta already signed Porto midfielder Fabio Vieria this summer and was also trying to bring in Leeds United winger Raphinha.

Jesus made his Premier League debut when he moved from Palmeiras to Man City in January 2017. In the next five and a half seasons, Jesus flourished under Pep Guardiola's charge as he scored 95 goals and provided 46 assists in 236 competitive appearances for the Eithad side. Jesus helped City win quite a few trophies, including four Premier League titles.

However, the arrival of Erling Haaland from Borrusia Dortmund this summer would certainly limit Jesus' chances of regular soccer as a central striker next season.

It was also reported that Man City will lose Raheem Sterling this summer. The Englishman is heavily linked with a move to Chelsea who are seeing the forward as an ideal replacement for Romelu Lukaku.
