The years were rolled back as Gary Neville's final match at Old Trafford saw the 'Class of 92' reunited against Juventus in a rematch of the 1999 European Cup semifinal.

David Beckham, Nicky Butt and Gary's brother Phil Neville adorned the red of United once again as they rejoined Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Wes Brown, John O'Shea and of course, Gary Neville.

It was as though they never seperated. Neville and Beckham combined down the right flank as they did so often during the their heydays, delivering crosses of quality though Neville was playing more as an attacker than Beckham.

Wayne Rooney opened the scoring as Scholes and Giggs combined before the latter crossed for Rooney to tap in. Unsurprisngly, the trio were substituted 30 minutes into the game as they play the Champions League final against Barcelona on Saturday.

Simon Pepe equalized though, but the occasion was more about Neville than the result. He delivered some trademark crosses from the right, all of which were wasted by Michael Owen, who played with the Neville and Beckham for England, and Bebe.

It was an emotional night for Beckham as well, but he couldn't cap it with a goal. Those hoping for a trademark free kick from him were disappointed as his attempted went over the crossbar.

However, Manuel Giandonato cured home a free kick Beckham would have been proud of to hand Juventus the winner.

Afterwards, Neville told Sky Sports, The most important thing was that the lads got through it without getting injured. I enjoyed it, I wish we had won the game but that wasn't meant to be.''
