Manchester United Could Let Go Of Star Player In Blockbuster Swap Deal With Juventus: Report
KEY POINTS
- Man Utd could give Pogba to Juve as a swap deal for Aaron Ramsey
- Pogba has made it clear he wants to leave Old Trafford
- Ramsey joined Juve last summer
Juventus are reportedly willing to let Aaron Ramsey join Manchester United as long as they get Paul Pogba in return in what could turn out to be a blockbuster swap deal this summer transfer window.
Over the last few months, Pogba has made it clear that he does not see his future at Old Trafford. In fact, his notorious agent, Mino Railo has been doing everything possible to fetch him a summer deal. The French World Cup winner has been heavily linked to Real Madrid and Juventus.
While Real would like to add him to boost their squad ahead of the 2020-21 season, Juventus seem to be playing their cards well to keep the ball in their court.
Ramsey, who was at Arsenal for over a decade, had moved to Juventus last summer. Despite having the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuaín, Ramsey has managed to make a place for himself in the Juventus dressing room. Juve boss Maurizio Sarri is understood to be happy with Ramsey and he also believes the Wales midfielder could make a future in Turin, as reported by Calciomercato.
However, the report also stated that if Man Utd offered Pogba as a part of a swap deal, Juventus would then use the Arsenal icon as leverage to get the French superstar.
Before the current soccer campaign was halted due to the coronavirus outbreak, Pogba had started just eight times for Man Utd. He has been out of action for most of the season due to different injuries. The last time he played for the Red Devils was back in December when Man Utd clashed against Newcastle in the Boxing Day encounter. While Man Utd won the fixture, Pogba once again suffered an injury and has been away since then.
In another report, Man Utd need funds to sign their top targets and losing Pogba in a swap deal would not serve the purpose. Man Utd’s top priority currently is to sign Dortmund’s star midfielder, Jadon Sancho, whose transfer fee is expected to be $124m or more.
