Paul Pogba has hailed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, saying this is the "strongest" Manchester United team I have played in.

The Red Devils recently strengthened their squad by signing defender Raphael Varane from Real Madrid, winger Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and the club's biggest jackpot was bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.

Manchester United last won the Premier League in 2012-13 season but Pogba believes Solskjaer's side is strong enough to once again become the champions of England.

"There have always been strong Manchester United teams, but this is definitely the strongest [I've played in]. It is obviously in this club's DNA to win trophies. We have a strong team that can become champions. We know how hard it is, but we will do our best to lift the trophy this season," Pogba told Norwegian outlet TV2, in a recent interview.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford. During the same interview, while he refused to comment on his long-term future, Pogba did admit that he is enjoying his soccer in Manchester. It has also been reported that Manchester United are planning to offer Pogba a new deal, which would see the midfielder earn $543,000-a-week, making him the highest earner at Old Trafford, surpassing David de Gea's weekly salary of $511,000.

"To be honest, I am very happy, I enjoy myself. The Premier League is back, I play football again after a nice holiday, so it is very, very good. There is a huge difference from last season. Last season I had corona[virus] and no seasonal run-up, so it took a long time to get back in shape. This season I have trained, I have had a good start and I have been healthy. I feel much better and it makes a huge difference physically," added Pogba in the same interview.

The 28-year-old Pogba recently became the first-ever player to make five assists in his first two matches of a Premier League season. He assisted four out of five goals during Manchester United's 5-1 win over Leeds in their season opener before assisting Mason Greenwood's goal in Red Devils' 1-1 draw against Southampton.

Pogba also heaped praises on Solskjaer for his man-management skills and knowledge since replacing Jose Mourinho as the head coach of the Old Trafford side in December 2018. With Manchester United's latest 1-0 win over Wolves, the Red Devils now have a streak of 28 matches without a loss in the Premier League, which is the longest run in the top-flight, surpassing the previous record of 27 that belonged to Arsenal.

"He [Solskjaer] is the manager of this club for this reason. He knows the players and has got the ability to do it. I'm sure he is in the position to do that. I have known Ole for a long time and we have always had a good relationship, and he is good with all the other players as well. He was here as a player, so he knows the club very well. It has been very good since he came in," added Pogba.
