Manchester United Transfer News: Oliveira, Feghouli and Evangelista All Said to be on Ferguson's Radar
Manchester United are in the running to sign highly-rated Portuguese forward Nelson Oliveira, according to the Daily Mail. The 21-year-old has been linked with both Manchester City and Chelsea in recent days, but now it is being claimed that United could join the scramble to secure the international from Benfica next summer.
After playing a bit-part role with the Lisbon giants last season, he earned a call-up to the Portugal squad for Euro 2012, where he appeared four times as a substitute. Oliveira has been loaned out to La Liga side Deportivo La Coruna this term and has already scored twice in just four appearances.
A move to sign Oliveira would be a surprising one for United, however, given their current wealth of attacking options. Robin van Persie, Shinji Kagawa and Chilean youngster Angelo Henriquez were added to an already impressive list of offensive talent this summer.
Another name to be linked with a move to Manchester United of late is Valencia midfielder Sofiane Feghouli. The Algeria international established himself in the first team at the Mestalla last season having moved from French side Grenoble two years ago.
According to Algerian publication Liberte, United's interest in the 22-year-old is well known. Feghouli's current deal expires in the summer of 2014 and he is also said to be a target for Spartak Moscow. An offensive-minded midfielder, Feghouli has already scored twice this season, including last time out against Celta Vigo.
There has also been further speculation about United's interest in Brazilian youngster Lucas Evangelista. United had the 17-year-old on trial earlier this year and were thought ready to conclude a deal for the player, along with several of his Desportivo Brasil teammates. While Evangelista has been linked with current Brazilian league leaders Fluminense in recent times, Portuguese publication Record claims that United maintain an option to sign the midfielder.
