  • Manchester United are set to face against Tottenham in their first game back since the global pandemic started
  • One of the brighter spots for Manchester United is their new addition, Bruno Fernandes
  • Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is reportedly putting Pual Pogba off the bench in their upcoming match

Making adjustments at times can be one of the more important roles as a manager. For Manchester United’s Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, it’s been rumored that he’ll be moving his star midfielder Paul Pogba to the bench in their upcoming match against Tottenham.

Per Red Devil Armada, Paul Pogba may not see a starting role in their first game back after the coronavirus hiatus. This would entail the potential Bruno Fernandes and Pogba connection to wait a little longer than expected.

One of the priorities of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his team is to recruit young players who possess the winning attitude of a champion. This is the case with Fernandes as the 25-year-old has been one of the more prominent players in Manchester United ever since joining the squad earlier this year.

In nine games with the team, Fernandes has already scored on three separate occasions and has tallied a total of four assists. The two-time Footballer of the year is ready to live up to his big five-and-a-half-year contract with the club

Despite the focus on these younger additions, Pogba remains determined to show everyone that he’s among the best players in the world. Throughout his stay with Manchester United, the former World Cup winner has made a total of 150 appearances. In this stint, he’s scored 31 goals and tallied 31 assists.

There’s no question that Pogba is one of the game’s top stars hence the heavy expectations and pressure on him from the Manchester United faithful. Fellow Frenchman Louis Saha previously shared that Pogba has the drive to continue playing at an elite level.

"When I talk to him on the phone, he's super motivated, so I really want to see not a new Pogba, but Pogba with support. I don't think he was supported. Now he has Bruno Fernandes next to him, who's another leader, another creator," Saha said by way of Goal.com.

It will be interesting to see how the duo of Pogba and the newly acquired Fernandes pan out in the near future. But for now, Pogba will have to see how everything pans out when he’s coming off the bench.
