The Mando is back! Disney+ unveiled the first action-packed trailer for the highly-anticipated season two of “The Mandalorian,” and there are no doubts that the upcoming season will be bigger and better than the first one.
The trailer starts with a gunship belonging to the bounty hunter played by Pedro Pascal while a woman is heard talking to him in the background, asking him to see The Child aka Baby Yoda.
“Show me the one who’s safety deemed such destruction. You must reunite it with its own kind,” the woman says in the clip. The bounty hunter then asks, “Where?” To which the woman replies, “This is what you must determine.”
The trailer moves forward with the woman telling Din Djarin (The Mandalorian) that he must bring The Child to “an order of sorcerers called Jedi.”
“You expect me to search the galaxy and return this creature to a race of enemy sorcerers?” he responds.
The clip also introduces a girl dressed up in a hoodie watching the duo (Mando and Baby Yoda) from afar. The character, which is yet to be identified, is played by WWE wrestler Sasha Banks.
Later in the trailer, Baby Yoda is seen getting scared by a bunch of baddies who are going to attack Pascal in a scene and closes the basket that he sits in. However, it is revealed that the bounty hunter has defeated all the fighters with his skills.
“This is the way,” he says after killing the last fighter in the trailer.
The trailer has garnered a lot of attention from the fans and has already been viewed by 2.7 million times on the video-sharing platform YouTube.
Additionally, more than 6 million viewers have seen the clip on Twitter in just 11 hours of its upload.
The first season of the “The Mandalorian” was already the most in-demand series during its launch week and with the release of the new trailer, Season 2 might walk on to the same path soon.
A lot of notable Hollywood celebrities and filmmakers like Bryce Dallas Howard, Taika Waititi, Deborah Chow, and Rick Famuyiwa came together to direct certain episodes of the series. It will be interesting to see which new celebrity or filmmaker will don the director’s hat for the upcoming season.
“The Mandalorian” was a huge success for Disney and currently holds a score of 93% on review site Rotten Tomatoes.
“The Mandalorian” Season 2 premieres on Oct. 30.
